The internet has changed out lives. It is easier to stay connected to family and friends  The internet has changed out lives. It is easier to stay connected to family and friends  however it is becoming a retreat into a solitary digital existence . Our heads down society is creating a dependency to technology that far supersedes human connection. This is causing an inability to communicate and is leading to unnatural isolation lack of human experiences within the world around us. Do we really need to see a beautiful sunset online or can we just look outside and experience the sunset? Technology connects the dots to many experiences leading to the good, the bad, and the ugly in society.     THE GOOD          If you are privileged and have access to the internet people have the ability 24 access thanks to mobile devices and Wi-Fi. The internet is an excellent source for learning, Entertainment and connecting people in the world to collaborate on work projects in business. Thos

#12 Ken's walk

Oil independent or Opec dependent seem to fuel the political landscape.  A young writer who is an environmentalist, Ken Ilgunas , wanted to see first hand what the 1900 miles were all about so he set out on foot to experience the Keystone XL pipeline from Alberta to Texas.  Ilgunas stated, “When I think about our culture’s addiction to fossil fuel, its indifference to the natural world, and the sheer impossibility of any major change happening soon, I can’t help but despair. Almost as depressing as an inevitable collapse is how powerless I feel as an individual.” Llgunas was 28, broke washing dishes, and thought his life didn’t have much meaning, just many grand ideas. So in September 2012, Ken Ilgunas began hitchhiking in Denver, north to the Alberta tar sands. He hoped that the journey down the pipeline would explain why conservatives and liberals united against the pipeline in some states but not in others. The proposed pipeline’s route was all private property therefore he woul

#10 Age of AI

Siri, play Ariana Grande, Siri, add Vitamin D to my grocery list, Siri, set the thermostat at 70 degrees. People we have just let AI into our lives. How many times have you been talking to someone and ads pop up on social media for that car, washing machine, or product?  Machines now take decision-based records of our lives.  And in the world of algorithms, the chances of errors are reduced. This is an achievement, as solving complex problems requires corporations to understand our buying practices, health decisions, and calculation with a probability of minimal errors of what is next in our lives. that can be done without any error. By using digital assistants to interact with the demand for user’s businesses who can be ready to fulfill your request. Artificial Intelligence and the science of robotics are used to replace people's jobs so they can work at a greater speed than humans. Programming robots can handle a more laborious task with extra hard work and they don’t need to

#6 internet/technology

Social Media and its entirety . Social media has been the biggest thing the younger generations talk about. The average person owns some sort of iPhone, Samsung, tablet, TV, and many more. Newer technology comes out and the market wants to take it and run to try out the widgets and gadgets it provides. Social media had a huge turnout once Facebook became huge so the elder generation took to it because it was the first site where you could connect with friends and family and keeping them posted on what is happening in your life. Whereas when snap chat, Instagram, and Twitter were founded millennials and gen X’ers hopped in on that feed. These sites then became widely popular and used on average of 6+ hours a day from the teenager market. Tik Tock became a huge content creation site to spread creativity, awareness, and talents worldwide. This app has a wide diverse variety for a target market reaching new numbers every day. Content creation has become one of the most wanted jobs to bec

#9 Eoto- Net Neutrality key post

To surf or not to surf at greater speeds is critical to innovation.  This blogger is not talking about hitting a wave but Net neutrality. Professor Tim Wu of Columbia University in 2003, invented the term "network neutrality" about online discrimination. At the time, some broadband providers banned home internet users from accessing virtual private networks (VPNs), while others banned using Wi-Fi routers. We worried that broadband providers could restrict and called for anti-discrimination rules. Advocates have long argued that keeping the internet an open playing field is crucial for innovation. Net Neutrality has been scrutinized by the Federal Communications Commission for years trying to put controls in place. Is the problem government involvement? This issue has spanned multiple presidential administrations stating they are trying to enforce net neutrality protections.. When Title II classification was established by the FCC in 2014, it was overturned in 2017.  Supporter

#8 American conservative/antiwar

The American conservative and Antiwar.com are two vastly different sources and I respect the author's opinions on these topics. These sources are different compared to CNN, BBC, or NBC.  Each story on these resource sites has strong opinions on many stories happening right now.  Antiwar.com and the American conservative are not resources that I've heard much about therefore it comes into question the credibility and reliability. When looking at antiwar.com it is a super chaotic website it is not organized. Whereas, the American Conservative website was well put together with links, pictures, interviews, and much more to get key information. When reading deep diving into these websites I found common biased parts that indicate a preference for a certain political group. I believe since they have a strong poll for one way or another thinking style that must be why these articles don't grow popularity on search engines or credibility of sharing it.  In the United States o

#11 EOTO someone else's invention

The invention process is crazy to see where just an idea begins to where it ends up centuries down the line. Where we’ve come in societal growth is outstanding. Especially, when it comes to the innovation process of better technology. Who likes wires and cords connecting your device which enviably gets caught on your foot or arm, your trip and pull it out of the walls or out of your phone? Or have you ever had your headphones, earbuds fall out of your ears when you got caught up on something?  Wired things get in the way and become a hassle whether that be on the floor or on your phone. Bluetooth technology was a saving grace for all of us. Working out became a lot easier without having to constantly strategically place it or put it on your arm and your phone gets all sweaty. Bluetooth is an extremely intriguing device giving you a hands-free connection. It is the Standard for short-range wireless interconnection, mobile phones, computers, printers, and other electronic devices. Th
