#4 blog invasion of privacy

Image
The new and up and coming technology that is being created and programmed right now is insane. With how cool the camera is and how fast your texts send through won’t keep you safe from those watching on the other side. I personally don’t have much of a social media presence even though I have the apps. That won’t always matter whether you're active everyday or once a week they are still taking down all the data being recorded on your account. Whether that comes to your search history, how long you look at it, or what your phone contains “ Invasion of privacy is a tort based in common law allowing an aggrieved party to bring a lawsuit against an individual who unlawfully intrudes into his/her private affairs, discloses his/her private information, publicizes him/her in a false light, or appropriates his/her name for personal gain.” Google, Facebook, and instagram have problems with invading your privacy and getting results on what you look up, what you say out loud, then it report...

#5 EOTO

Thomas Edison created many inventions, but one of my favorites has forever changed my life and my love of music. In 1877, While working on improvements to the telegraph and the telephone, Edison combined these two technologies and discovered a way to record sound with tin foil-coated cylinders. The machine had two needles: one for recording and one for playback. Edison built a mouthpiece which he would speak into. Where the sound would be recorded and then played back to you. This created a sound vibration of his voice indented the foil on the cylinder with the recording needle. Edison was not a singer but he recorded the nursery rhyme “Mary had a little Lamb” much to his surprise he heard his voice for the first time in a recording.  Edison had big plans to make new and improved conditions for his Phonograph. Therefore by 1878, Edison established the Edison Speaking Phonograph Company to sell the new machine. However music was the first thing that this technology was used ...

#3 Promoting Innovation

The topic that intrigued me the most was number seven Promoting Innovation. Promoting innovation within a community who respects and protects free speech people are more willing to work together. The people in this type of community are usually a very energized, gifted, and riveting society where people can actively fulfill themselves in many different outlets. Some examples of these outlets could be gaming, religion, sports, cosmetics, reading, working and or even music. The possibilities are endless when it comes to innovation and creativity. Promoting innovation and creativity unlocks peoples potential to broaden their perspectives on what is possible in the world.   By creating a think tank society helps a collective of people learn together by dissecting positive and negative. They will focus on research features based on the specific topic that they are trying to be educated to influence society. It is important for these individuals to understand both sides to every story...

#2 The U.S. Supreme Court

Image
The U.S. Supreme Court was created in 1789. The videos presented were very educational showing the process of which it conducts legal business. The Supreme court has to oversee if laws are constitutional or not. The Court is making sure that the American people are promised fair and equal justice under the law. The Supreme Court also has the option to hear or dismiss any case.  The part in the video that caught my attention the most is how lengthy the process is to pass anything. Once judges have voted it normally takes up to 4 weeks to program a detailed draft outline of the opinion made on the case. When it comes to difficult cases, there is an immense amount of responsibility and pressure on the judge to make a judgement call after overseeing all details. To interpret the constitution then make a ruling that the state, congress, and the president have to abide too.   Once the Supreme Court was first established it appointed the first 6 justices in 1789 whereas in 202...
